Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Owlpost, an email API for apps and AI agents operated by Owlpost, a Factory Zero venture ("Owlpost", "we"). By creating an account or calling the API you agree to them.
1. The service
Owlpost sends and receives email on your behalf through its API, CLI and MCP server. Sending runs on Amazon SES. You may only send from domains you have verified with us (SPF and DKIM).
2. Your account
- Give accurate account information and keep it current.
- Keep your API keys secret. You're responsible for all activity under your keys. Revoke a key as soon as you suspect it leaked.
- You must be authorised to act for the domains and organisations you connect.
3. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: send only mail your recipients asked for or expect, honour unsubscribes, and never send spam, phishing or malware.
4. Deliverability and suspension
We monitor bounce and complaint rates per account and per domain. We may throttle, pause or suspend sending, with notice where we can, to protect recipients and the shared sending reputation. That includes bounce rates above 2%, complaint rates above 0.1%, a spam trap hit, or a breach of these terms. We'll tell you why and how to restore sending.
5. Your content and data
You own the content you send and receive. You give us the rights needed to process it to provide the service. How we handle personal data is in our Privacy Policy, including where we act as your processor.
6. Fees
Paid plans are billed as shown on the pricing page. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of price changes for existing plans.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Owlpost available but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change features. If a change materially reduces the service on a paid plan, we'll give notice.
8. Liability
The service is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9. Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may end or suspend it for a serious or repeated breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. After closure, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
